Still no pale-skin *sigh*
You're complaining that you still have a life? gold wink

My impression is that the defence-in-a-row achievements are much harder to get now. At the start "everyone" was raiding more or less blindly, so it was rather easy to get the defence victories. Now there are dragons I (being hard-cap'ed) cannot defeat even on a preferred (defensive) element with a good assistant. (Typically the maxed out ones 1.99 times my size...)

And having lots of shinies brings those dragons around, and seems to keep the weak(er) dragons I need for the defence-achievements away  gold sad

I agree with this too. It seems like the only chance with those maxed out guys is Ice and that still seems to be just a chance that they will retreat because they start missing and think it will go all 20 rounds.

I don't think dragons will retreat since retreating while in the middle of a fight that already started results in a loss of 25% more glicko than just taking the loss.

I wouldn't expect so, but I've had it happen a couple rounds in when I am on Ice. hmmm... it might be the drugs

I got this a while ago...

February 18: luck, or skill?

I was at the bottom of the bucket in terms of glicko because of bloat I made, and after my full recovery, I went ahead and raided a dragon with 1000 more glicko points and totally pwned the defender Smiley

I'm glad because I don't think too many dragons have this achievement... the only achievement I want more than this is "impenetrable fortress", except I think that's impossible Sad

Congrats Drakengard!

Though truth be told, I don't think Luck or skill is that hard to get anymore, provided you are willing to spend time just to ruin your glicko as preparation.

I have been trying to get "impenetrable fortress" myself, but whenever I get a decent row, some hotshot comes by and ruins it.  red sad

20 successful defenses between my losses on Jun 1, 2009 and on Sept 10, 2009 (Hi Lucy!).
17 successful defenses between my losses on Sept 10, 2009 and on Nov. 28, 2009.
22 successful defenses between my losses on Nov. 28, 2009 and on February 22, 2010.

I know of only two dragons who have it, though there might be more. The easiest way to get it, as shown by one of these dragons is probably to get a lot of losses before you grow strong and rich, then those losses can camouflage how tough you have actually become, so you keep getting easy incomings.
In both cases, I had the honour of being the first one to penetrate the fortress after the achievement.  red grin

And congrats to you too Lucy. Didn't think you cared about achievements.
Well except about not getting dweller achievements. red tongue

Overcompensating is the only one I've ever TRIED to get.  Wouldn't have done that even, though, if I didn't think I'd have to dig out my cave eventually.

Impenetrable fortress is next.  Now, I only have to find 23 more suckers fearless dragons who love a challenge.
