I am a leaf on the wind - watch how I soar

Umm, seems to me that there's quite a bit of hate flying around at the moment. Everyone's stressed on the internet (not just on PD forums, I've noticed it elsewhere too...) and everyone's stressed in life perhaps because of the current economic problems. Whatever. People, stop pissing each other off! Go have cups of tea before replying to abusive posts and suchlike. Smiley

So anyway, I want this thread to contain happy stuffs. IMO you can always find something to be glad of in life, be it virtual or real, pd or friends based. So tell us here!

I am happy because my dragon has kicked [body part] this week, stealing 5.3 mil golds and only losing 600k. silver teeth

I'm happy because I get to go back to uni next week and see all my friends who I've missed over the holiday. Cheesy

Why are you happy/glad/excited/feeling positive?

I am very happy and grateful because our little one got a glowing report this morning from the orthoptic specialist.  She now has depth perception for the first time in (at least) 2 years!  The surgery etc was text book case successful!

Enjoying a peaceful evening with Finder, drinking red wine and drinking a toast to El's little one.  Give her a hug and a kiss from us, El.   Kiss Kiss

Whatever our differences are El, I am glad to hear that. I myself had eye surgery when I was young, so I guess that sort of thing moves me more so than many other things.

Thank you all.

I suppose you can imagine getting a 13 month old through eye exams, glasses, patching her eye and then surgery at 23 months old.  lol

And many thanks to those in the professions involved.  They have a knack of working with small children that is amazing.

sheesh, I'm glad I have 20-20. Smiley but I do have a lazy eye at certain angles and was offered surgery...which I rejected. Too much risk for too small a problem. Glad the little one is all okay!

I am happy, because I think I have the most beautiful gift in the world (the tot), no matter how sad I am, or how unhappy she makes me at times, it is the "cud-dles mum-mee" or the "lub too much" that just make me smile and glow inside....

I am also happy because I am able to help bring these little precious bundles of joy into the lives of many many people, and to see how mum's light up, and dad's melt when they first lay eyes on their little creation.

*sigh*

Life can be real good

Edited to say:  el, I am so pleased everything went well for the tot...*hugs*  What a great way to start the new year  silver grin

Thanks everyone...

I now have a conundrum that is making me smile.

My mother in law has offered me a vacation.
Some time spent away from the house (and the responsibilities).  This is nice, no?

3 days in Norfolk Virginia at a PETA conference.....
with cooking lessons and free food.
I'm still giggling.

I mean it would probably be fun and all, but I'd have to pretend to be a vegan which I am not, but my mother in law is.

Hubby says I could probably sneak off for a burger now and then, but I think they would KNOW.  lol

I haven't even gotten to the tough things like hubby has to dragon sit (also a BIG laugh) and a new passport as the old one has expired - okay - passport photos are not funny!
